GIFFELS-WEBSTER ANNOUNCES RYAN SCHULTZ CERTIFED LEED AP
Ryan Schultz, development consultant for Giffels-Webster Engineers, has become a certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP). In this role, Schultz will further assist clients with green site designs, as well as the LEED application and certification process.
The LEED AP exam was launched in 2001 to recognize, through accreditation, individuals’ understanding of green building practices and principles, and their familiarity with LEED requirements, resources, and processes. A LEED AP is an individual who has taken and passed the exam and possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, support and encourage integrated design, and streamline the application and certification process.
“Growing our employees as experts in sustainable engineering practices is of paramount importance to both Giffels-Webster Engineers and to the community in which we live,” said Loren Crandell, president of Giffels-Webster Engineers. “As a company, we are committed to providing green designs for our environment and being leaders in protecting our water resources through responsible site development.”
